Hi all,

Emerald City ComiCon 2013 was awesome. Having only done a few hours at last years free comic day and the one day Bellingham ComiCon last October, this was still a strange, albeit cool experience. My friends and I got into Seattle on Thursday and got to work setting up.

Our table neighbor, Nathan O’Brien was super nice and had some killer art. I did a print trade for his “Like a Bossk” print, which is awesome. During the con I got to talk to some really cool people and had fun sketching some cards for people and a few for myself.

I didn’t get away from the table much during the con but I was able to meet Thomas Cook and get his autograph, as a fan of the Filmation  cartoons it was super cool talking to an animator who worked on Masters of the Universe and Bravestar.

I also got an awesome Castlevania print from my friend Travis Bundy of Creators Edge Press.

Thankfully I also got some  time to talk to my friend  Ben “1314” Hansen about promotions and structure for future conventions that will be super helpful. It was also very cool that Michael Avon Oeming, the awesome artist on Mice Templar and Powers, checked out my booth. He has a new book called The Victories that looks really cool.  Oh and I talked to someone from Dark Horse comics, of course I had no idea that’s where he was from at the time. My friends helping me out during the convention asked me ” How did it go with the Dark Horse guy?” and my reaction was something like “What!? Really!”.  I met some podcasters from the mean geek podcast, they were very cool. Oh and there was some cosplay as well.

The convention  passed in a blur and before I knew it, it was time to pack up.

A huge thank you needs to go out to my friends Paul Osborne and Nick Osborne, who helped me out at the convention and if not for them I would not have been able to the con at all. So all and all ECCC was great.  I got to talk to lots of cool people, and all the pros were super nice and welcoming. It was a lot of fun, so much fun in fact that I will be back next year. See ya again ECCC March 28-30 2014.

Oh and one last thing to new and current readers, new comics are coming but the prep for the con destroyed any time to build my buffer up. Production on chapter 4 is underway.

Thanks everyone.
